Clock'd In

Terms of Service

Last updated: September 2026

Welcome to Clock'd In. By creating an account and using our app, you agree to the following terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Account & Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Clock'd In. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Each user may only have one account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

2. How You Use Clock'd In

Clock'd In is a habit-tracking and social accountability app built around Ori, your AI coach. You can talk to Ori, set goals with her, work through the daily steps she gives you, create and track habits, build streaks, and share your progress with friends. You can post photos to your feed, comment on and fire (like) friends’ posts, tag friends in your captions and comments, send encouragements, and challenge friends to duels, described in full under "Duels" below. Photos you clock in with, including duel clock-ins, are saved to your clock-ins gallery in settings. You can pause your habits and steps with Vacation Pause. Set a start and end date and the app treats that time as a break: habits are not due, streaks are not at risk, Ori holds your next step until you are back, and notifications are silenced for the duration. You can end a pause early from settings at any time. You agree to use the app in a respectful manner and not to post content that is harmful, abusive, or inappropriate, and not to tag people in content in order to harass them.

3. Ori, Your AI Coach

Ori is an automated coach. Her replies, the goals she helps you set, the daily steps she issues, the messages she sends you, and the text of the reminders she writes are all generated by an artificial intelligence model, not by a person, and they can be wrong. Ori is not a doctor, therapist, dietitian, trainer, lawyer, or financial adviser, and nothing she says is medical, mental-health, legal, or financial advice. Use your own judgment, and speak to a qualified professional about anything that matters. If you are in crisis or facing an emergency, contact your local emergency services. Do not rely on the app. To coach you, Ori remembers what you tell her between sessions. How that works and what is stored is described under "Ori and Your Coaching Data" in the privacy policy below.

4. The Free Plan and Clock'd In+

Clock'd In offers two plans:

• Free. You can create up to 5 habits, work with Ori toward 1 goal at a time, and send Ori up to 5 messages a day. Friends, duels, feed posts, comments, tagging, streaks, dark mode, and a private profile are unlimited and free. We do not charge for your own content, your privacy, or who you connect with.

• Clock'd In+ (Plus). A subscription that raises those limits and adds features: unlimited habits, unlimited messages to Ori, up to 5 goals at once (each with its own daily step), 2 streak freezes per month, which are held on your account and used automatically on a day you miss so that your streak carries on, and you are told when one is spent, private habits that only you can see, advanced stats with 12-week heatmaps and completion breakdowns, and a badge beside your name.

Duels are not a paid feature and are not capped on either plan. A duel is an agreement between friends, so a limit on it would refuse the person who was challenged as much as the person who bought a plan.

Plans and limits can change. If we reduce what a paid subscription includes, we will tell you before it takes effect.

5. Your Content and Tagging

You keep ownership of what you create: your photos, posts, captions, and comments. By posting on Clock’d In you grant us a non-exclusive license to store and display that content inside the app to the people the app’s features are meant to show it to, for example your friends seeing your feed. This license exists so the app can work, and it ends for a piece of content when you delete it. When you tag someone, they are notified and their name becomes a link to their profile from your post or comment. Delete the post or comment to remove the tag. Deleting your content is free and always will be.

6. Duels

A duel is a contest between you and up to 7 friends. You send an invite, and nothing counts until it is accepted. An unanswered invite has no clock running on it. Anybody already in a duel can bring another friend in, up to 8 people, but only before it starts.

Everybody in a duel does the same task. The app supplies it from a pool that rotates each week, and each of those tasks carries a target, a number of times to do it inside a 7-day window, for example three 5K runs in a week. You may also write your own task instead and choose its target yourself, or set it to run every day, in which case it lasts the full 7 days and whoever showed up on the most days wins.

A duel starts when everybody invited has accepted, so nobody is handed a handicap by somebody else answering first. Once the last person is in, a 30-second countdown runs and the duel begins. An invite that goes unanswered for five hours is treated as a decline: the duel starts without that person, or ends if fewer than two remain. You can nudge somebody who has not answered, which sends them a reminder notification; this is limited to twice a day per person. A duel day is a calendar day, and it resets at midnight. The duel runs on one clock, taken from whoever created it, so that everybody in it crosses into the new day at the same moment and nobody can be a day ahead of anybody else. If you are in a different time zone from the person who started it, your day turns over at their midnight in your local time, which the duel tells you before you accept and again on the scoreboard. You can clock in once per day, and clocking in requires a photo, which is shared to your feed and saved to your clock-ins gallery in settings.

The first person to reach the target wins and the duel ends there. If nobody reaches it before the window closes, whoever banked the most days wins; if that is level, the person who clocked in first on more days wins on points; and if that is level too, the duel is a tie, which is a real result rather than something we break arbitrarily. If nobody clocked in at all, the duel ends with no winner and nothing is added to anybody's record. Wins, losses, and ties are recorded on your profile.

You can leave a duel freely before it starts. Once it is running you can forfeit, which ends your part in it, counts as a loss on your record, and tells the other participants. A duel that has started cannot be deleted or withdrawn by either side. That is the point of agreeing to one.

By entering a duel you agree to take part honestly: clock in for work you actually did, and do not submit a photo that misrepresents it. We reserve the right to remove participants who act unfairly.

7. Messaging

You can message a friend directly from their profile. Conversations are one to one, and only the two of you can read them.

You can send text, react to a message with an emoji, and share things from inside the app into a chat: a moment from the feed, or somebody’s profile. The app shows when the other person is typing and when your message has been read.

You can unsend a message within five minutes of sending it, which removes it for both of you. After that you can delete it for yourself, which hides it from your side of the thread but leaves it on theirs, once somebody has read something, taking it out of their inbox is not ours to do.

The rules are the same as everywhere else in the app: no spam, no harassment, no illegal content. We do not read your conversations, but we may act on content that is reported to us.

8. Subscriptions and Billing

Clock'd In+ is billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, monthly or annually. Your subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You can manage or cancel it at any time in your store account settings; cancelling stops the next renewal and you keep Plus until the period you have paid for runs out. Refunds are handled by the store under its own refund policy, not by us. Prices may change; any change applies from your next renewal, not the current one.

9. Termination and Deleting Your Account

You may delete your account at any time from settings. Deletion removes everything held under your account: your profile, feed posts, comments, encouragements, tags, coach conversations and Ori’s memory of you, habits and completions, goals and steps, clock-in photos, and any vacation pause you have set. This is permanent and cannot be undone.

Two things are shared with somebody else and so are not yours alone to erase. A conversation stays in the other person’s inbox, and a duel stays on the record of the people you duelled, your messages and your side of a duel are not removed from their view when you close your account. If you want a specific message gone from a thread, unsend it before you delete your account.

Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription, cancel that separately in the App Store or Google Play, or it will keep renewing. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms without prior notice.
